A UK-based manufacturer and supplier of diving and subsea rescue equipment, Submarine Manufacturing and Products Ltd (SMP), has secured a three-year contract to supply their innovative submarine rescue system (SRS) to the Indonesian Navy. The contract encompasses the design and manufacturing of the SRS in the UK, with a focus on SMP's cutting-edge SRV-F Mk3 rescue submersible. This hybrid system boasts the ability to be deployed both by air and from its mothership, making it highly adaptable to a variety of emergency scenarios. This versatility allows it to cover larger operational areas and significantly reduce the time required for the first rescue. Moreover, when deployed by air, the rescue submersible can be towed to and from the distressed submarine's location without the need for recovery to the deck.
