DAE Systems is a third-generation family-owned manufacturing company, headquartered in Claremont, North Carolina, specializing in air movement systems for the defense and aerospace industries. Established in 1942 now with over 80 years’ experience supplying to Military Vehicles and Aircraft around the world.

DAE Systems is a custom designer and an integrated manufacturer of many products from brushed DC and AC to brushless AC and DC motors.  Our engineering of fans and blowers are of the highest quality and durability.  We are known for our custom design work.

DAE Systems is from first to last a Specialized Engineering business, with a competent Engineering Team at its core, from first enquiry through to after sales support technical solutions are our number one priority. 

Being vertically integrated we have the capability of control on all aspects of manufacture, for our motor designs lamination stamping through to windings. Precision machine shop with 5 axis capability, metal processes and finishes all in house, skilled assembly, and test, all overseen by a robust Quality regime.

From specialist fans, blowers and heaters used throughout the world and in space to high precision weapon systems with world beating accuracy, DAE Systems has the capability of providing customer satisfaction. 

 

Viewing Military Vehicles as an example, the following are typical of DAE Systems products:

Gun smoke extract – used to exhaust toxic fumes from the vicinity of machine guns and cannon breaches. These fans can be produced in single, twin, or variable speed versions, matching the severity of the pollution, or doubling as vent fans on silent watch.

Ventilation – many vehicles, principally armored personnel carriers, command and communication vehicles, ambulances, missile carrying vehicles and armored cars, use brushless DC ventilation fans. CBRNE Filtration (Dust Blowers) – used to provide the main flow air through a CBRNE filter at the same time providing a scavenge flow to particle separators, removing dust and dangerous particulates.

Engine Scavenge Fans – used when a vehicle is in a heavy dust environment, a fan in conjunction with a cyclonic filter, ensures that dust and sand are excluded from engine combustion air. We are currently providing a specialist product for the Ajax vehicle.

Equipment cooling – with high heat loads and solar energy within a vehicle, electronics are reaching their upper operating temperatures. Forced air and spot cooling is provided within and without individual electronic equipment.

Engine Cooling Fans – today’s power packs have an increased demand for cooling air through an array of radiators, including engine radiators, charge coolers, transmission, and oil coolers in the engine bay. Engine cooling fans can be driven directly by shaft or belt or hydraulic drives.

Crew Heaters – used in main battle tanks, armored personnel carriers, these units are designed to raise the ambient temperature in a vehicle sufficiently to protect the crew from extreme cold.
