Throughout the last few weeks, specialist manufacturers, Penta Pattern and Model Ltd, have been working towards achieving the Cyber Essentials Plus accreditation. On 6th May 2022 they successfully passed the audit and became Cyber Essentials Plus Certified.

The Plus certification comprises of a more rigorous test of an organisation’s cyber security systems. Cyber security experts carry out vulnerability tests to make sure that the organisation is protected against basic hacking and phishing attacks.

With the support of their IT partners, Welcomm Communications Limited, Penta Pattern and Model Ltd have successfully undergone all of the necessary testing and met all of the necessary measures to pass the audit and be presented with the certification. Leaving their customers with no doubt that their data will be kept and handled securely.

This is also an important milestone for Welcomm Communications, as it is the first time they have supported a company through the Cyber Essentials scheme. Following successful completion of the process with Penta, Welcomm now look forward to helping other businesses enhance and strengthen their cyber security.

Managing Director for Penta Pattern and Model Ltd, Neil Walker said:

“It has taken a lot of work from both ourselves and the team at Welcomm Communications to get this accreditation and we can’t thank them enough for the time and effort they have put into supporting us.

Now that we have successfully passed the audit, our customers can be doubly sure that their data is protected and secure from cyberattacks.

It also opens up a lot more work opportunities for Penta, so we are excited to see what the coming months will bring.”

Head of Sales for Welcomm Communications, Sam Mason said:

“Congratulations to Penta Pattern & Model Ltd from myself and Welcomm Communications on their recent Cyber Essentials Plus Certification!

This accreditation is recognition of and testament to Neil and the business’s focus on maintaining the highest levels of IT and data security, at a time when SMEs across the country are falling victim to increasingly sophisticated cyber attacks.

As their nominated cyber security partner, we worked with Penta Pattern & Model Ltd to conduct a full internal review of their network, hardware and processes. Following our suggested enhancements, the business is now fully compliant with this UK Government backed scheme, has further strengthened their defense against cyber threats, and has also now gained over £25k in cyber insurance.

I’m extremely proud of the teamwork and commitment shown by our internal teams. Their hard work and dedication to our customers resulted in a successful delivery of this nationally recognized accreditation.”
