Since 2017 John has led the MOD’s Supply Chain Development team, with responsibility for the Defence Suppliers forum, the MOD’s primary strategic engagement with the defence industry and leads on wider industry outreach and communications activity.  He is the department’s focal point for Small and Medium-sized Enterprise policy – an area highlighted as a priority in the recent Defence White paper.  He has worked for the Ministry of Defence in a wide range of roles, including some high-profile policy reviews.  He has been involved in a variety of Strategic Supplier Management roles since 2012, managing relationships with some of the UK’s largest defence contractors.
